A bolivian brunch tradition.....

Tucumanas and salteñas have become a staple snack for brunch time. Usually around 10-11 AM. People leave their offices, colleges and work to gather around the "caseritas" and partake of the delicious savory dumplings. Eating the dumplings is and art because of the juicy content. When I was a teen we ould have contest with my friends. The person who spills the salteñas juice would pay for all the salteñas.

Api con pastelitos is an early morning delicacy. One wake up around 6 in the morning and head to the open market, sit down and order a nice and warm cup of api and a recently fried pastelito covered in powder sugar.
